In the warm embrace of summer 2023, amidst the vibrant coastal city of Vlora, under the auspices of the ACC, JINT, Erasmus+ program, and EU, a diverse group of young minds from Belgium and Albania came together for a transformative youth exchange program. These talented people embarked on an immersive adventure, uniting their languages, cultures, and artistic expressions.
A poetry collection published under the title “The poetry of friendship: Vlora 2023” that can be found on Amazon stands as a testament to the incredible bonds forged during those enchanted days. The verses contained within pages of that book transcend language barriers, as the participants courageously bared their souls, each line weaving threads of shared experiences and newfound friendships. The heart of this collection lies not just in the verses themselves, but in the stories behind them – stories of young individuals bridging the gap between their mother tongues, exchanging stories, laughter, and inspirations.
With dedication, they translated their poetic musings from their native languages into English, unveiling the richness of their cultures to one another and the world. As you read their words, through the tapestry of emotions, dreams, and thoughts that wove this unforgettable experience together.
It is with immense pride that I, as the project leader, witnessed the growth and creativity of this exceptional group of individuals. Their passion for art, their dedication to learning, and their openness to cultural exchange are truly awe-inspiring.
This Youth Exchange reflects not only their artistic talent but also the warmth and unity that blossomed during their time together.
ACC and the participants would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to JINT, Erasmus+, and EU, for enabling this profound experience. Their unwavering support in fostering intercultural connections and promoting the arts has enriched the lives of these young participants and will undoubtedly continue to do so for generations to come.
May these poems inspire, unite, and remind us of the power of artistic expression and human connection.
